South Africa

In February we travelled to the most beautiful part of the world. We spent two and a half weeks travelling around the Garden Route just outside of Cape Town. Everywhere you turned you were greeted with the most incredible dramatic views!

We started our route by spending a couple of nights in the centre of Cape Town and whilst it is a beautiful city, for me 2 nights was enough. We then drove to a quaint little town called Darling, where we went horse back riding – got engaged (I’ll just throw that in there) and most defintely a touch of sun stroke and spent the evening celebrating with family. One night was spent here.

We then slowly made our way up to Port Elizabeth, stopping for a few nights in different small towns, taking in breath taking scenery, drinking beautiful wine and mouth watering food.

Our next point on the map was heading over to Addo National Park, spotting Lions, Elephants, Hyena and lots of Zebra! This was definitely a high light before making our way back towards Cape Town and spending our last few nights in the GORGEOUS town, Franschhoek. We had a family wedding here which rounded the incredible trip off with a bang before we headed home.

South Africa is undeniably an incredibly country, and if possible, I urge you to explore. If not just for the amazing food and wine selection.
